Junior Karlie Bruns led the Morris Benson Area girls hockey team to two victories in back-to-back action against International Falls Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25 and 26. Bruns recorded nine goals between the two wins for the Storm, who now sit at 3-3 after losing their home opener to Princeton Tuesday, Nov. 22.
“It was worth the five-plus-hour bus ride,” Bruns said of bringing home two wins from the small town that lies just across the river from Canada.
MBA will open the Morris’ home season with a four-game homestand, starting Tuesday, Nov. 29 against Breckenridge/Wahpeton. The Storm will host Visitation both Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2 and 3 then close out the homestand with Detroit lakes Tuesday, Dec. 6. First puck drops at 7 p.m. for games Tuesday and Friday while the second game against Visitation is slated for noon.
