Julie Beddow-Schubert has a vision for improving Benson schools
Though she has been on the job for less than a month, new District 777 Supt. Julie Beddow-Schubert has a vision for improving school finances and promoting the educational excellence it offers its students.
Her career in education has been filled with steps that have broadened her experiences and knowledge, bringing them to their peak as she steps into her new job. She is well aware of the challenges she will face in accomplishing her goals.
“The biggest challenges currently lie in maintaining enrollment. We have incredible programming here that is literally second to none that most school districts this size do not have,” Beddow-Schubert said in an interview with the Monitor-News last week.
“This community is so fortunate to have the level of instructional practice, as well as facilities, as well as programming - academic, athletic and activity, and community-based programming that most school districts do not have. But we are losing families for one reason or another.
