Charles “Chuck” Ascheman, 53, of Clontarf

Charles Edward Ascheman, 53, of Benson, formerly of Clontarf, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at home.
Mass of Christian burial was held Friday, November 22, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Malachy Catholic Church in Clontarf. Visitation was held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements were with the Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
Charles Edward Ascheman was born June 18, 1960 in Benson, Minnesota, to Lyle and Beatrice (Hoberg) Ascheman. Chuck attended school in Clontarf and later in Benson. He worked at TCI, Case, Jennie-O foods, and for numerous farmers. Chuck started his trucking business, Malachy Flats, and drove truck in North Dakota building roads on the oil fields. Chuck also helped his brother-in-law, Ron Schade, doing some construction work. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, and gardening. Chuck also loved to spend time camping with friends and family on the home place.
Chuck is survived by his brothers: Alan (Teresa) of Murdock, Lynn (Paulette) of Blomkest, Greg (LaVonne) of Appleton, Steve (Wendy) of Benson, Jerry of Rochester, and Joe (Spencer) of Long Beach, CA; sisters: Brenda (Ron) Schade of Murdock, and Becky Ascheman of Alexandria; 14 nieces and nephews; three great-nephews; many cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice, in 1985; his father, Lyle, in 1995; sister, LuAnn; brother, Clay; grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
