MINUTES OF SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 777, Benson, Minnesota
November 12, 2014 – 7:00 a.m. – District Office
The special School Board meeting was called to order at 7:01 a.m. by Chair Chad Payne.  The following Board members were present:  Andy Abner, Al Pagel, Bill McGeary, Chad Payne, Gary Williams and Jodi DeJong-Hughes.  Absent:  Marlene Molden.
The following resolution was passed unanimously.
RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS OF VOTES
OF SCHOOL DISTRICT GENERAL ELECTION
School Board Member Bill McGeary moved the following resolution:
WHEREAS:    Independent School District No. 777, Benson Public Schools conducted a School Board Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 and;
WHEREAS: Four seats were voted upon and;
WHEREAS: The following votes for each candidate were duly tabulated for the 4 Year Term:
        
Chad Payne      1787    
Jodi DeJong-Hughes     1702    
Jason Madden     1548      
Write-in Candidates      402                                      
The following votes for each candidate were duly tabulated for the 2 Year Term:
Andy Abner     2141
Write-in Candidates       10
NOW BE IT RESOLVED:  that Chad Payne, Jodi DeJong-Hughes and Jason Madden were duly elected to the Board of Education for the Benson Minnesota Public School District for four year terms and Andy Abner was duly elected to the Board of Education for the Benson Minnesota Public School District for a two year term, commencing on January 5, 2015.
This resolution was duly seconded by School Board Member Gary Williams with the following roll call vote recorded:
Voting in favor:  Andy Abner, Al Pagel, Bill McGeary, Gary Williams, Chad Payne, Jodi DeJong-Hughes.
Voting against:  None.
The resolution was declared adopted.
Motion by Al Pagel to adjourn the meeting at 7:09 a.m.
