The meeting will be held at the Clontarf Fire Hall. PUBLIC NOTICE
The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from Swift County, MN to construct the Appleton Area Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Park Improvements Project located approximately one mile northeast of the city of Appleton in Swift County, Minnesota for the purpose of making improvements to the existing OHV park. Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, EDA is conducting an environmental assessment (EA) of the proposed project.
The project consists of developing a day-use beach area, walking trail, improvements to the main trailer parking lot area, wells, construction of permanent restroom facilities, vehicle wash areas, improved signage and improved spectator areas. The project will be located at the Appleton Area OHV Park located approximately one mile northeast of the city of Appleton, MN along U.S. Highway 59. The purpose of the project is to improve the amenities offered at the park and to make the OHV park a recreational destination for outdoor recreation enthusiasts.
