Monster games from Young and Ascheman pace Braves
Bentley Ascheman carries the ball for the Braves and led Benson on the defensive side against Maple Lake with four interceptions by himself.
The Braves football team rode huge performances from Adrian Young and Bentley Ascheman against the Maple Lake Irish in Benson Sept. 25. Young finished the game with more than 300 yards of offense and Bentley Ascheman recorded four total interceptions of the Irish to help the Braves to a 46-6 beat down of Maple Lake.
Benson dominated every aspect of the game against the Irish, leaning on Young throughout. The Braves scored early and often in the first half of action, racking up a big lead. With just seconds left in the second quarter, Darin Hippe completed a 34-yard touchdown pass to Young in the endzone to make the halftime score 32-0.
