Judith “Judy” Tollefson, 74, of Benson, Minnesota was called from this life Tuesday morning, November 9, 2021, at the Swift County Benson Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson, and will continue Saturday, November 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Our Redeemer’s Church Cemetery in Benson.
Judith Elaine (Miller) Tollefson was born May 30, 1947 to Elaine (Suess) and Glen Miller in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She was baptized in Morgan, Minnesota and confirmed in Benson. She graduated from Benson High School in 1965.
August 5, 1967, Judy was united in marriage to Glen Tollefson in Watertown, South Dakota. Together they were able to share in over 33 years of marriage. This union was blessed with seven children, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. They made their home in Minneapolis for a while before settling down in Benson to raise their family. Over her life, Judy worked at the Viking Café, the Benson Bakery, Swift County Homes, and she was happiest when she was taking care of others.
Judy enjoyed gardening, and there was never a flower pot that could have too many flowers. She took pleasure in having coffee at Sandy’s Café, visiting with family, friends, and going on adventures with her mother. She loved spending time with her family and she would light up when family would come to visit. We will miss her laugh and hugs - Judy gave the best hugs. She was called from this life Tuesday morning, November 9, 2021, at Swift County Benson Hospital.
Judy is survived by her children: Alonah (Kim) Ahrndt of Castle Rock, Colorado, Dean Tollefson of Benson, Duane Tollefson of Benson, Dennis (Mary Jo) Tollefson of East Bethel, Kim (Steve) Benson of Benson, and Daniel Tollefson of Benson; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren: seven siblings: Steven (Linda) Miller of Benson; David (Darlene) Miller of Avoca; Sandra (Richard) Lansverk of Benson; Randy (Bridget) Miller of Big Lake; Timothy Miller of Benson; Darren (Heather) Miller of Kerkhoven; and LeAnn (Kevin) Groen of Clara City: and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Glen and Elaine, her husband Glen Tollefson, her son Dustin Tollefson, and her grandson Joshua Ahrndt. Blessed be her memory.
