Chester E. Hoberg, May 30, 1937 • May 25, 2023

Chester E. Hoberg, 85, of Starbuck, Minnesota, died  Thursday morning, May 25, 2023, at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 12, 2023, at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The burial will be at the Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Chester Hoberg was born  May 30, 1937, in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Gilbert and Ethel Swingseth Hoberg. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He grew up on the farm near Swift Falls, Minnesota, and attended country school.  Chester was a farmer, and he also was a salesman of farm tools and supplies. In his retirement,  he moved to Starbuck and lived at Holly Ridge.

Chester looked forward to drives throughout the countryside.

He was called from this life Thursday morning, May 25, 2023, at Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck.

He is survived by a sister Patricia Sandry of Alexandria, nieces and nephews, and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Ethel.
