Some in need may not get meals

Faced with a steady demand, inflating costs, and budget deficits, the Prairie Five meals program is sending out letters to those it provides essential home-delivered meals to, telling them they could be placed on a waiting list. It’s a heartbreaking but necessary move for the five-county program, Director Erick Hedman told the Swift County Board of Commissioners at its meeting July 21.
