Richard J. Eisenreich
October 24, 2024

Richard James Eisenreich of Plymouth, Minnesota died peacefully October 24, 2024, at Park’s Place Memory Care. He was 80, living with Parkinson’s Dementia. His wife Judy (Pothen) Eisenreich was by his side. Rick was born in Benson, Minnesota to Francis and Marie (Nelson) Eisenreich, the eldest of eight children. The Eisenreich siblings remain lifelong friends, confidants and travel companions. Rick married his soul mate during Navy flight school in 1967. He flew the P3 Orion in anti-submarine missions and later received a master's degree in finance. Rick was an avid dreamer and lived a life of adventure. In addition to leading Sundance Helicopters in Las Vegas for 18 years, he was a daily hiker in the Red Rock Mountains, traveled around the world, hiked Machu Picchu, owned a 48-foot sailboat on the East Coast and captained ten family sail trips in the BVI. Rick and Judy lived in Iran for two years while Rick taught Iranian pilots. After traveling abroad and living all over the US (30+ moves), his favorite place remained the Eisenreich family farm in Murdock, Minnesota. Rick especially looked forward to weekend drives with his daughter; they shared mochas and dreamt about futures with infinite possibilities. He enjoyed weekly coffee sessions with his high school buddies where they solved world problems and swapped farm stories. He relished calls and visits from the next generation chasing their own dreams and was honored to give his advice. Rick always said, “If you can’t do IT now, do something now." Rick is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy; daughter Kate; daughter-in-law Rowan and grandchildren Phoenix and Juniper.
