Record high dew point, heat index set Monday

Monday Benson set a record heat index temperature and came 2 degrees away from tying the state record for the highest dew point.
With the temperature at 91.4 degrees and the dew point at a tropical 86 degrees, the heat index hit a dangerous 123 degrees at the National Weather Service monitoring site at the Benson Municipal Airport.
