Patricia Katherine (Nowak) Lee, 70, of Lake Park, Minnesota (formerly of Benson, Minnesota) passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Lake Park, Minnesota. A livestream of the service will be available on her webpage at www.wrightfuneral.com where a guestbook and video tribute may also be found. Final resting place will be at St. John’s University Cemetery, Collegeville, MN, at a later date.
Patricia “Pat” was born April 15, 1955, to Francis and Katherine (Kiemen) Nowak, in St. Paul, Minnesota. She grew up in St. Paul where she attended and graduated from St. Agnus High School in 1973. She attended the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting with an emphasis in business in 1977. She was united in marriage to Greg Lee, August 12, 1978, at St. Agnus Catholic Church, in St. Paul. Patricia worked for various companies as a bookkeeper in St. Paul, MN, and St. Louis, MO, before moving to Benson, in 1979.
Pat spent several years at home raising her children. She later returned to her bookkeeping career. She worked for Lor-Al and Case-New-Holland before dedicating nearly 30 years of service to Benson Public Schools business office. She retired in December 2020, and moved to Lake Park where she resided until her passing.
Pat enjoyed spending her time sewing, quilting, and gardening. She appreciated a good read, especially if it was a romance or a suspense novel. She loved to spend time on the water, especially at her cabin on Long Lost Lake among other lakes. She always enjoyed going out with her friends for a cup of coffee. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events.
Pat is survived by her husband, Greg Lee; children: Jessica (Casey) Dowler, Jeffrey Lee, and Eric Lee; grandchildren: Elliot, Ezra, and Eliza Lee; brother, Mike (Shelley) Nowak; siblings-in-law, Deb Lee, Randy (Katie) Lee, Terri Lee, Jim (Barb) Lee, Torri (John Petron) Leyse, Pat (Dez) Lee, and Paula (John) McCusker; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Katherine; in-laws, Arthur and Victoria; brother-in-law, Dan Lee; and other close relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial designations are preferred to Roger Marris Cancer Center and/or St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
