Marlene was born June 6, 1950, to George and Mary Ellen (Wildeboer) Lundebrek in Benson. She graduated from Benson High School in 1968 and went on and earned her Computer Programming Degree at Alexandria Technical Community College in 1970. She worked for the Bell Companies as a computer programmer first in Omaha, NE then transferred to the downtown Minneapolis location. Starting in 2007, Marlene also took on the role as CFO for their family-owned business, West Central Diesel Incorporated.
Marlene was united in marriage to her husband of 53 years, Steve Tulibaski, June 12, 1971, at Saint Francis Catholic Church in Benson. Together, they raised six children on a 5-acre hobby farm near Pennock, Minnesota.
Her hobbies included reading, gardening, sewing, cooking, family history, scrapbooking, antiquing, painting ceramics, and she was an avid cookie jar collector. She also loved to take pictures and was always behind a camera but rarely in front of it. Marlene loved any time that she was able to spend with family. The Tulibaski home was the ultimate gathering spot for immediate and extended family for many gatherings, including the annual Pennock Palooza, throughout the year. She loved to cook our favorite meals like lasagna, tator tot hotdish, and goosebump salad.
Marlene will lovingly be remembered by her husband, Steve Tulibaski, and their children: Darren Tulibaski of Minnetonka, Jodi (Neil) Bryant of Lisle, IL; Sarah (Nate) Malchow of Sioux Falls, SD; Molly (Nate) Koewler of Woodbury, Ben Tulibaski of Pennock, Stephanie (Anthony) Holwerda of Marshall; 13 grandchildren: Madeline Bryant; Macie, Jake, Cole and Katie Malchow; Ross and Levi Tulibaski; Olivia, William and Thomas Koewler; and Audrey, Eli, and Owen Holwerda. Also surviving are her sisters: Cindy (Duane) Mertens of Danube, Annette Albrecht of Montevideo; and brothers: Allan (Rhonda) Lundebrek of Glenwood, and Wayne Lundebrek of Benson; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Dennis and Mary Ann Kaufhold of Shoreview, Gary and Judy Dallager of White Bear Lake, and Roger and Vicki Tulibaski of Argyle; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Ellen Lundebrek; niece, Heather Lundebrek; nephew, William Lundebrek; brother-in-law, Warren Albrecht; father-in-law, Dennis Tulibaski and mother-in-law, Frances Tulibaski, and an infant nephew.
