Six Saints and Braves on All-Area softball team
Six members of the KMS and Benson softball teams were named to the All-Area softball teams, puts out by the West Central Tribune of Willmar.
KMS’ Maret Gjerde and Benson’s Marissa Connelly were named to the 9-member All-Area first team, while Halie Nichols, Lauren Krieger, and Shakira Olson from KMS, and Ellie Moesenthin from Benson were named to the 9-member All-Area second team.
Four players each were selected from Lac qui Parle Valley, KMS, and Litchfield, while Benson had two selections, and Montevideo, BBE, Paynesville, and NLS each had one.
In addition, 16 of the 18 players were juniors and seniors and two were sophomores, including Olson from KMS...
