Norway Lake-Sunburg tops Pirates for second win

The Lakers topped Paynesville in their second-to-last regular season game last Tuesday night at Paynesville, 6-5.  The game was played at Paynesville, but the Lakers were the home team.

The Lakers, who improved to 2-7 overall, were set to close out the regular-season Sunday at home against Atwater, but results of that game were not available by presstime.

This week, the Lakers open up the playoffs Friday or Saturday at Paynesville.  With a win, Norway Lake-Sunburg would play again Sunday in Spicer, but with a loss, the Lakers would have to wait a week to play again the following Sunday at a place and time yet to be determined...
