Maurer and Johnson earn All-WCC for girls golf team

Two members of the 2021 Benson girls golf team earned All-Conference this spring.  Alissa Maurer and Stacy Johnson earned All-WCC honors as Benson finished  sixth in the league standings despite not fielding a complete team in the first four conference meets.

Maurer and Johnson also qualified to the state tourney this year.  Maurer had round of 94 and 89 for a 183 total to tie for 11th place overall in the Class A girls meet, while Johnson had rounds of 105 and 94 for a 199 total to place 40th out of 88 individuals.

Maurer also qualified to state as a ninth-grader in 2019, placing 24th.  She is the fourth girls golfer at Benson-KMS or Benson to earn two state berths in girls golf...
