Braves earn two close wins at quadrangular

The Benson wrestling is down to its last few meets before commencing with the postseason playoffs.  The Braves improved to 10-10 overall last week with two wins and a loss at the Benson quadrangular last Tuesday night.
Benson edged NLS (37-35) and also beat Sauk Centre-Melrose (42-31) while also losing a close match with ACGC (37-36).  Three teams each finished 2-1 to tie for the Benson quadrangular title.
The Braves also wrestled at the NLS Invitational, Friday, placing seventh of 10 teams in a meet won by No. 1 ranked BBE.
Thomas Dineen placed first for Benson at the NLS Invitational and Max Nygaard was second.  Dineen is 31-0 for the season and recently moved into tie with Jared Knutson in second place on the all-time Benson wins list with 138 career victories, trailing only Ryan Thompson’s 170 wins.
