Commissioners to start conversation and draft ordinance banning rifle use

Should rifles be allowed to hunt deer in Swift County? 
The Swift County Board of Commissioners has agreed to start that conversation and the process toward drafting an ordinance to ban rifle use at its February 17 meeting.

Established in 1942, the shotgun zone was designed as a tool to manage deer populations in areas where numbers were historically low.
