The 2024 KMS football season came to an end in the first round of the Section 5AA tournament. Despite the early exit in the playoffs, the Saints had numerous standout performers on the team and a number of KMS players set new records for the Saints football program.
The Saints finished the 2024 regular season with an even 4-4 record. KMS was in their second season in Class AA and earned the four seed in the Section 5AA playoffs and hosted Royalton in Murdock in the first round. The Royals managed a 22-14 win to eliminate the Saints from the playoffs.
KMS was in the Mid Northwest (Gopher-Gold) District and they finished fifth out of eight teams with a 4-3 record in the district. Upsala/Swanville Area won the district with a perfect 7-0 district record.
The Saints were a run-first team on offense all season long. Of the 2,194 yards of total offense for KMS, 1,676 of those yards came on the ground. The majority of those yards came from senior Jett Olson who finished the season with 1,327 yards and 16 touchdowns with an average run of 7.5 yards.
