KMS finishes Benson with 41-point shutout

The KMS Saints were not the friendliest of neighbors when they made the short 16 mile trip to Benson Sept. 8 to deliver a 41-0 thrashing to the Braves to win the battle of Swift County. Jett Olson had his second huge game to start the season and rushed for over 200 yards to help put the Saints on top.
The Saints left little up in the air right off the bat. The Saints scored 21 points in the first quarter thanks to a 92 and seven-yard TDs from Jett Olson. The other score came on a 60-yard throw from Jared Cortez to Malaki Lee to make it 21-0 after one.
In the second quarter, neither team had their offense going, plagued with turnovers on both sides. With just a minute left in the game, KMS punted the ball to Benson and, after the ball danced on the ground a few times, Jaden McCarter scooped it and tip-toed his way down the left sideline to the endzone. As the Benson sideline was celebrating, the referee announced an illegal-blindside block, negating the score and making it 21-0 at the halftime break.
