Gymnasts score season- high during loss to Melrose

The Benson-KMS gymnastics team scored a season-high 133.525 points at Melrose, Thursday night, but it still wasn’t enough to knock off the strong Melrose team, which scored 139.475 points to hand the Fighting Braves their second loss of the season.
Mariah Ahrndt and Makenna Kelley came very close to matching their personal-bests in the all-around to place second and fourth, respectively, while Melrose’ Camryn Brinkman won the all-around title by less than a half-point over Ahrndt and also won two of the four individual events.
Benson-KMS, which dropped to 4-2 overall, does not have any meets scheduled this week as it prepares for the final home meet of the season, Tuesday, Jan. 29 against NLS...
