Braves can’t hold lead as YME rallies for 48-44 win

The Benson boys basketball team just missed picking up its first win of the season during a 48-44 home loss to Yellow Medicine East last Monday night. The Braves held the lead several times during the game, including midway through the second half, but the Sting held off Benson to earn its second victory of the season.
The Braves also lost at ACGC, Thursday, 71-30, putting Benson’s record at 0-21 overall and 0-10 in the WCC.
Benson has four more regular-season games to pick up its first win. The Braves were set to host Minnewaska Area, Tuesday and Montevideo, Friday, before closing out the regular-season the following week with road games against Morris and Sauk Centre....
