Benson softball picks up wins against Hancock and Monte

It was a busy week for Benson softball as they packed six games in six days. The team started off at home May 4 and lost 16-1 to the Border West Buccaneers. The following day, Benson hosted Upsala and dropped the game 12-1. The Braves bounced back with their highest run total of the season in a 24-10 win over Hancock May 7 at home. Benson went on the road for the first time last week against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle May 8 and lost 16-5 against the Thunder. Finally, Benson wrapped up the week with a doubleheader on the road against Montevideo May 9 where the team split a doubleheader with a 13-3 loss and a 6-2 win. After the packed week, Benson moved to 3-14 overall and 0-9 in the Prairie Conference.
