Christopher D. Kepner

Christopher D. Kepner,  49, of Benson, Minnesota died Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at his home in Benson. The funeral service will be held at a later date.

Christopher D. Kepner was born December 14, 1974, in Appleton, Minnesota, the son of Larry D. and Diane (Christianson) Kepner. He was baptized February 2, 1975, by Pastor Peterson at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. In October of 1990, Chris was confirmed by Pastor Schmidt at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. He attended school in Appleton and after graduation, went on to attain a degree from Alexandria Technical College.

January 25, 2014, Christopher married Sue Ann Brustuen in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Benson and together raised his son, Devin. Chris had many jobs, with the last place of employment at Westmor in Morris as a diesel mechanic.

Chris enjoyed spending time with his son, throwing darts, watching movies, traveling, sports, listening to music, and watching “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Chris is survived by his wife Sue Kepner, his son Devin Bohn Kepner, his siblings: Kyle (Heather) Kepner, of Brooking, SD, Makenna and Madison; Valerie (fiancé Andy Bowen) Kepner of Shickshinny, PA, Emily and Connor Ehrensperger; and Veronica (Clint) Sprague of Parker, CO. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Archie and Adeline Christianson, Ben and Shirley Kepner, and Bruce Kepner.
