Program cuts? Teacher cuts? What matters to you?

Sunday, Feb. 15, is the deadline for completing a District 777 School District survey on priorities for funding decisions the board of education faces in the coming months as it develops its 2026-2027 school year budget...“To help guide these difficult decisions, Benson Public Schools is asking for community input through an online budget survey,” it says.
District 777’s new budget year starts July 1. At Monday night’s board of education meeting, the need to start planning for the new school year was already part of the discussion with that discussion to intensify in the coming months.
Among the decisions made Monday night was authorization for the superintendent to move forward with the necessary steps toward cutting expenses.
