Lundberg charged with two felonies from hit and run

Based on a news release from the sheriff’s office, Lundberg was interviewed about the accident April 9. He stated that he “was traveling westbound when he struck the parked Trailblazer.
“He reported stopping, exiting his vehicle, and locating the other driver lying on the ground in front of the Trailblazer. Lundberg indicated he had a brief interaction with the injured driver before collecting several pieces of his vehicle that had broken off during the crash, returning to his vehicle, and leaving the scene.”

According to the complaint, Swift County dispatch received a call at 8:23 p.m., Friday, March 27, about the accident.
“A third party had reported receiving a call from the victim, (stating) that he had been involved in a motor vehicle accident and was injured,” the complaint says. However, Skarsten was not able to give the person he called his location. Law enforcement was able to locate Skarsten with a cellphone ping through working cell phone service provider Verizon.
The accident occurred near the intersection of 45th Street NE and 60th Avenue NE (County Road 29.)

According to the complaint, Lundberg told deputies that  after talking to Skarsten briefly,  “he freaked out that he has just hit someone, just panicked, and wanted to get out of there. The Defendant stated that he grabbed some parts to his truck when he was walking to it.”
He said he did not know how badly Skarsten had been injured, the complaint states.
