Partnership with PrimeWest provides needed healthcare
Affordable medical coverage is challenging even for those with good incomes. For people without the financial resources of a good-paying job with paid medical benefits, the paying insurance or medical care is beyond their ability.
For those people, Swift County steps in to help through its membership in PrimeWest. It coordinates and pays for coverage available to the area’s residents through the Minnesota Department of Health (DHS) and federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Swift County has 1,600 residents who receive healthcare through PrimeWest. The breakdown of those served in the county and in PrimeWest’s 24 counties is:
