What sports could look like during the 2020-21 school year

It will be interesting to see how sports work out this fall as well as the entire school year. The Minnesota State High School League recently made some decisions involving the fall sports season, but it will have to deal with the winter and spring sports seasons in the future as well as continuing to monitor this fall’s limited list of sports to see if COVID-19 jeopardizes those seasons.
Girls tennis, soccer, swimming and diving, and cross-country got the go-ahead for this fall, while volleyball and football were moved to early spring.
No matter what the sport is, there seems to be a consensus that there will be a lot of changes this school year, including no hand clapping, high fives, team huddles, spitting, shaking hands after competitions, sharing water bottles, etc. as athletes, coaches, and fans will have to learn to live with a new “normal” during the COVID-19 pandemic...
