Timothy "Picky" John Pillatzki
Timothy “Picky” John Pillatzki, 65, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. The rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m.
Timothy John “Picky” Pillatzki was born at the Swift County Benson Hospital in Benson, Minnesota, November 30, 1958, the son of Lawrence Edward and Verna Lorraine (Mattson) Pillatzki. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. He grew up and lived in Benson his whole life, and graduated from Benson High School, with the Class of 1978.
October 22, 1996, Picky was united in marriage to Stacia Ann Every in Milbank, South Dakota. Together they were able to share in over 27 years of marriage. Over the years, Picky worked for Agvise, Rick Minor, and doing carpentry work on the side. Some would say he was a “Jack of all Trades.”
Picky loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his garage on cars and different projects, going on road trips with his brothers, attending meat raffles, and playing pull tabs.
Picky was called from this life Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 65. He is survived by his wife Stacia of Benson; his children: Scott (Jayme) Wacha of Coon Rapids, Stephanie (Nate) Ramirez of Richfield, and Syndi (Joey) Wacha of Crystal; 11 grandchildren: Brianna (Andrew), Tyler (Rachael), Hayden, Sloane, Scarlett, Shane, Kelsi, Logan, Gracie, Rayne, and Novaleigh; four great-grandchildren: Eden, Archie, Chip, and Rozie; his siblings: Priscilla of Benson, Daniel of Benson, Pam (Jim) of Stewart, Mark (Colleen) of Benson, Missy of Willmar, and Todd of Benson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Picky was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Verna Pillatzki and his brother David Pillatzki, Sr.
Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson is assisting the family with arrangements.
