Three teams within range going into final week of fishing league
Swift Fishing League was on Lake Minnewaska for week 6 of the season. It had been raining mostly all day, and rained for the first half hour of fishing time. After that, the skies started to clear in the west with only a light breeze the rest of the evening. After the three hours of fishing elapsed, teams measured 2 northerns and 13 walleyes. Both the largest fish were caught by Butch Hagen; 30.5” northern, and a 21” walleye. That gave team Big Fish both bonus points for the event. With a total of 3 walleyes from 14” to 21”, and the 30.5” northern, Big Fish took the win for the evening with 16 points. Jigginknots took second place with 10 points from a pair of walleyes 18.75” and 20.5”. Third place went to Hot Shots with 3 walleyes from 15.75”-16.5” worth 9 points.
Going into the final event of the season, Hot Shots is back into the lead, with Marble Eyes and Quarter After close behind. One of our largest scoring lakes (Lake Reno) will be the final destination for the 2020 season. It will likely take a number of good fish to be in the top three teams next week...
