Thompson and BKMS boys first at home meet

The Benson-KMS boys cross-country won a three-team meet in Benson last week, while the Benson-KMS girls team was second behind BOLD-BLHS.

It was the second meet of the season for the Fighting Braves, who opened up the season a week earlier at Minnewaska Area.  Benson-KMS is also set to host a meet at the Benson Golf Course, Thursday, Oct. 1.

“Overall the kids ran great; I was super surprised when we got the results back and it said we beat Monte on the boys varsity side,” head coach Samantha VanHeuveln said.  “Monte did a really good job of running in a pack so I thought for sure they were ahead of us, but our fourth, fifth, and sixth runners came in clutch finishing well ahead of Monte’s fifth guy...”
