Ronald Molden, 80, of Big Bend

Ronald Molden, 80, of Big Bend, died late Monday evening at his residence.  
Memorial services were held  Monday, August 5 at 1 p.m. at Big Bend Lutheran Church. Friends were to call one hour prior to services at the church for visitation. Military Honors were  provided by the Milan American Legion Post #359 Honor Guard.   Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Montevideo was in charge of arrangements. www.wingbain.com
Ronald Arthur Molden was born  November 28, 1932, in West Bank Township, Chippewa County, Minnesota, the son of Arthur and Agnes (Jacobs) Molden. He was baptized  December 21, 1932 in Big Bend Lutheran Church and confirmed in the Lutheran faith  June 22, 1947, also at Big Bend Lutheran Church. He attended country school in Swift County and later returned to school at the age of 35 to proudly earn his GED.

Benjamin L. Wink of Aitkin, Minnesota

Graveside services for Benjamin L. Wink of Aitkin, Minnesota were held Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeside Cemetery near Hancock.  Rev. Ginger Beck will be officiating.
Benjamin Lewis Wink, son of Steven & Sherry (Meierding) Wink, was born May 26, 1987 in Cambridge, Minnesota, where he was baptized  September 27, 1987 by Rev. Joe Ellenbaus at the United Methodist Church.  Ben was later confirmed  April 20, 2003 by Rev. Mark Bengtson at Cascade Methodist Church in Deerwood, Minnesota.  Ben grew up in Crosby, graduating from Crosby-Ironton High School in June 2006.

Eleanor “Jean” Jergenson, age78, of Glenwood died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Knute Nelson Care Center in Alexandria.   A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 6, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Swift Falls, Minnesota with Pastor Gary Brandenburg officiating.  Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. on Monday at the church and will resume one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.  Inurnment will be in the Rolling Forks Cemetery in Pope County, Minnesota.  Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Camilla M. Krattenmaker, age 89, of Benson, died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Glen Oaks Care Center in New London.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 5, 2013, at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson, with Father William Sprigler officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson, with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.

James "Jimmy" A. Hanson, 70, of Hancock

James "Jimmy" A. Hanson, 70, of Hancock, passed away  Friday, July 19, 2013, at the Swift County Benson Hospital in Benson, Minnesota.  
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m.  Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Hancock, Minnesota, with the Rev. Seth Novak officiating.  Visitation was held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  Wednesday, July 24 at the Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Hancock and continued for one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements were with the Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
James “Jimmy” Allen Hanson was born  May 20, 1943 in Underwood, Minnesota to Baldwin and Evelyn (Bergerud) Hanson.  He was confirmed at Sverdrup Lutheran Church in Underwood and graduated from Underwood High School.  
November 28, 1964, he was married to Gail Maureen (Johnsen) Hanson in Battle Lake, Minnesota.  This union was blessed with more than 48 years of marriage, four children, and 11 grandchildren.

Elroy Harlan Bruess, Jr. , Blaine, formerly of Benson

Elroy Harlan Bruess, Jr. passed away peacefully at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood attaining the age of 84 years, nine months, and eight days.
Elroy Harlan Bruess, Jr. was born  October 10, 1928, to Elroy and Frieda (Lange) Bruess in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church and spent his younger years in Sleepy Eye.  The family moved to Benson when Elroy was in eighth grade.  He graduated from Benson High School in 1947 and attended Dunwoody Institute.

Barry K. Janke, 63, Blaine, formerly of Benson

Barry K. Janke, 63, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his home in Blaine, Minnesota. The love of his family bore him through a 17 month-long battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy (Lamppa); their son, Jordan, and his wife, Amanda (Hakala); grandson Isaak-Karsten; and siblings, Trisha Sulier, Bruce Janke, and Pam Martin.
He was born to Ronald and Donna (Pederson) Janke, both living,  November 11, 1949 in Glenwood. Barry was raised in Benson and attended Moorhead State University before serving in the U.S. Army. Barry moved to Blaine to run his own business with his wife and parents for nine years. Later, he returned to his earlier trade, working as a Pipe/Steam-Fitter for 3M until just one month before his death. To those who knew and loved Barry, he was nothing but earnest, honest, hard-working, and steadfast.

Marlene K. Mohrman age 69 of Alexandria formerly of Morris died on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at her home.  A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, July 29, 2013 Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 4-8 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Hospice of Douglas County, Alexandria, MN.

Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.

Burnell Olson, formerly of Benson

A Memorial Service for Burnell Olson will be held  Saturday, July 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.
Burnell was a wonderful guy that lived life to the fullest.

He was born in Barrett, Minnesota  April 8, 1939, to Clarence & Dorothy Olson. He spent his childhood in Benson and Glenwood along with his brothers, Dennis, Roger and Mark.
Burnell was an honor role student and a fantastic athlete, breaking state records in pole vaulting and excelling in basketball and football, which earned him the "Craig Johnson" award.

He started his Bachelors studies at Macalester College in St. Paul; after transferring, he received a history degree from St. Cloud State.
He married his college sweetheart, Janice Haltom and raised a family which included son, Bradley and daughters, Janelle and Jacqueline.

Dennis W. Jaeger, 74, of Lakeville, formerly of Benson

Dennis W. Jaeger, 74, of Lakeville, Minnesota, formerly of Richfield, passed away  June 10, 2013.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Ella, and brother, Luverne.

He is survived by loving wife, June (Iversen); daughters, Jaime Jaeger and Jennifer (Dan) Iverson; granddaughters, Marisa and Melanie Jaeger and grandsons, Dalton and Lucas Iverson; sisters, Audrey (Marv) Tangeman and Yvonne (Gordy) Woytcke; brothers and sisters in- law and nieces, nephews and many friends.
Dennis was a 1957 graduate of Benson High School and was in the US Air Force for four years. He was employed by the US Postal Service for 30 years. He was a long-time member of Berea Lutheran Church in Richfield. Dennis was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Services have already been held and interment was at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
