MARX H. "MAX" RETHWISCH
October 28, 1925 - April 3, 2018

Marx Henry "Max" Rethwisch, 92, of Minnetonka, Minnesota passed away peacefully April 3, 2018.  A memorial service will be conducted at 11 am, Monday, April 9, at Mount Olivert Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Avenue South, Minneapolis.  A visitation is scheduled for the hour prior to the memorial service.

Max was born Oct. 28,1925, in Frazee, Minnesota, to Rudy and Tina Rethwisch. In his teens, he was an avid hunter and golfer (years later, when he was in his 70s, he would shoot two holes in one). He graduated from Frazee High School in 1943, having lettered in football, baseball and basketball.  After graduation, he spent four months in the United States Navy before returning to Frazee to work for the Post Office and for Rethwisch's Oil Company, the service station owned and operated by his parents.

Arlene M. Norby, 89, died Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Swift County Benson Health Services in Benson, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.  Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church.  Interment will be in the Swenoda Lutheran Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home.

Arlene Mae Norby was born September 24, 1928, in Swift County, Minnesota, the daughter of Louis C. and Florence Mildred (Gleason) Tatge.  She was baptized and confirmed in June of 1946 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church by Rev. Harold Nasheim.  She grew up in the Benson area and graduated from Benson High School, Class of 1946.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Washburn McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel at 7625 Mitchell Road in Eden Prairie, Minn.  Visitation will continue from 4-7 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson, Minn. Visitation will again continue from 9-10 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018, at St. Francis Catholic Church.  Interment will be in the St. Francis Catholic Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home.

Vicki Hindman, of Swift Falls, Minn., died Friday, March 23, 2018, at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood. A Graveside Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2018, at St. Malachy Catholic Cemetery in Clontarf.  

Vicki Lynn Hindman was born on November 18, 1949, in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Myrna DuVall. She grew up in Hancock Minnesota. Vicki was united in marriage to Raymond James Klucas. She lived in Swift Falls, Minnesota. She worked at the Country Inn in Benson and for the last several years as a caretaker in the area. 

Vicki loved to spend time with her family especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always quick to lend a helping hand to others in need. She was called from this life on Friday morning, March 23, at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood, Minnesota. She attained the age of 68 years, four months, and five days.

Connie Marie Sulier was born on June 7, 1947, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Richard and Viola Mae (Hess) Sulier. She was baptized at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church on April 7, 1958 and later confirmed there on November 3, 1963. She grew up and attended school in Benson.

Helen Lucille Svor, 95, Benson, Minn., died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Meadow Lane Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.  Visitation will be from 5–7 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Swift Falls.  Visitation will continue from 10–11 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m., Friday, March 23, 2018, at the church.  Interment will be in the St. Pauli Lutheran Cemetery in Swift Falls.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home.

Helen Lucille Barbara (Strommen) Svor was born June 7, 1922 to Oscar and Mabel (Halvorson) Strommen on a farm in Pope County and Baptized Lutheran.  Helen attended country school until the 8th grade and then attended Glenwood High School thru the 10th grade.

On March 18, 1942 she was married to Walter Sydney Svor at the Rolling Forks Parsonage in Pope County.  They resided at the family farm their entire married life.

Marjorie Elaine “Maggie” Friedlein 84, of Murdock, (formerly Benson) passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on March 17 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson. Visitation will be held on Friday March 23rd from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home. 

Marge was born on March 16, 1934 in Pillsbury Township, Swift County to Wallace and Ella (Halverson) Loven. She attended school in Kerkhoven and graduated from Kerkhoven High School. She was united in marriage to Ralph Friedlein in 1955 and together they raised 6 children. Their union in marriage ended in 1998.
