Lory L. Paulson, 51 of Raymond

Lory L. Paulson, 51 of Raymond, died on June 14, 2014 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.  Her funeral will be 1:30 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Monson Lake Lutheran Church in rural Sunburg.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Monson Lake Church Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.  www.hafh.org
Lory Lynn Paulson was born on April 13, 1963 in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Dwight and Myra (Christenson) Johnson.  She grew up in the Kerkhoven area and graduated from KMS High School in the class of 1981.  She went on to receive medical training at Willmar Vo-Tech.
Lory was united in marriage to Dennis Paulson on August 17, 1991.  They lived in rural Raymond.
Lory worked several jobs in the area including the Lindberg Rest Home in Kerkhoven.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

Deanna Fae Hedrick, age 76, of Murdock, died Monday, June 2, 2014, at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.  A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the Byron United Methodist Church in Byron, Minnesota.  Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Murdock.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.  www.zniewskifuneralhome.com

Ben Kepner, 86, of Holloway

The funeral service for Ben Kepner was held Friday, June 6, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton.  Pastor Michelle Rowell officiated at the service.  Pati Arnold was the organist and Dennis Kohlman and David Paulson sang the special vocal music.
Casketbearers were Kyle Kepner, Heather Kepner, Alex Beyer, Megan Beyer, Evy Riesgraf, Sam Kepner, and Travis Kepner.  Interment was in the Appleton City Cemetery.
Ben Hur Kepner was born  November 2, 1927, in his family home, the son of Samuel and May (Sallen) Kepner.    He graduated from Appleton High School.
Ben was united in marriage to Shirley Louise Sather of Benson  September 18, 1948.  This union was blessed with seven children, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.  He spent his whole life on the family farm.  His enjoyment was being a farmer.
Ben died  Monday, June 2, 2014 at the family farm in Moyer Township.  He had attained 86 years and seven months of age.

Rev. Melvin Rogers Sucher, 93, of Perham, Minnesota passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Prairie View Assisted Living in Perham.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 16 beginning at 11 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Perham. Visitation will be Sunday, June 15 from 5-7 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Calvary Lutheran Church or Waldorf College Foundation, Forest City, Iowa.

Timothy Teeter Twitchell, 52, of Duluth, Minnesota (formerly of Fairmont) passed away Monday, June 2, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church, 901 Woodland Ave., in Fairmont. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church and one hour prior to services Thursday, also at the church.

Ben Kepner, 86, of Holloway

Ben Kepner, 86, of Holloway, died on Monday evening at his home.  The funeral service will be on Friday, June 6, at 10:30 AM, at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton with Pastor Michelle Roll officiating.  Interment will be in the Appleton City Cemetery.
 
There will be visitation with the family one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday morning.  Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton is handling the arrangements of Ben Kepner.
 
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Holloway; six children: Larry (Diane) Kepner of Appleton, Gregg (Karen) Kepner of Montevideo, Sharlyn (Dean) Beyer of Holloway, Jeff Kepner of New Ulm, Randy Kepner of Holloway and Brenda Kepner of Holloway; daughter-in-law, Vickie Kepner, of Florida; 12 granchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Visitation will be held 9:00–11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.

Erick Fischer, 76, of Benson died on Wednesday, May 21, at the Swift County-Benson Hospital.  The memorial service will be held on Friday, May 30, at 10:30 AM, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Benson with Pastor Dennis McManus officiating.  Interment will follow in Six Mile Grove Cemetery.  Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson is handling the arrangements.  A complete obituary will follow in next week’s Monitor.

Services are at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014, at the West Zion Lutheran Church in rural Hancock, with Rev. Jacqueline Harvestine officiating.
 
Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church.
 
Reception is at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Benson Golf Club in Benson, Minnesota.

Rosella W. Hooth, 96, of Corona, South Dakota

Rosella W. Hooth, 96, of Corona, South Dakota passed away April 21, 2014.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 25, 2014, beginning at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Corona.  Visitation was at Mundwiler Funeral Home Thursday evening from 5 - 7 p.m. and continued at the church one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Caleb Schewe officiated.  Music was provided by Corrine Hanson and Roy DeBoer.  Casket bearers were Dennis Rohlfs, Ron Moon, Chad Wendland, Jared Wendland, Chris Nelson, Todd Cina, Derek Lawrence, and Tim Miller.  Honorary bearers were Rosella’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Milbank City Cemetery.
Rosella Wilhelmine Hooth was born  July 20, 1917, to Thomas M. and Elsie W. (Hoffmann) Rohlfs in Roberts County, South Dakota.  She grew up on a farm in rural Corona, South Dakota.  Rosella was confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church in Corona  November 13, 1932.  She completed eight years of education.
