Swift County’s avian flu turkey losses top 304,000

More than 2.4 million turkeys and over 300,000 chickens are dead as the avian influenza continues to spread in Minnesota. 
Swift County has now seen three barns infected bringing its losses to 304,085 turkeys. Meeker County, with four barns infected, has lost 494,276 turkeys. Though Morrison has seen 11 barns infected, its turkey losses are lower at 381,264. However, Morrison has also lost 257,277 chickens.
