St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns Saturday

With the threat of a pandemic looming over the state and nation in early March 2020, the annual Benson St. Patrick’s Day parade was one of the last public events of the year. As the pandemic lingered into 2021 parade was cancelled.
But is back on for 2022 and is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. Participants with gather down by the Benson High School, travel up 13th Street (Minnesota Highway 9), and end at Patrick’s Pub & Grill.
Jamie Rooney has been selected as this year’s parade grand marshal. Jamie has been a regular participant in the parade along with the rest of the Rooney clan.
