Sharon Ann Bowman, 85, of Kerkhoven, Minnesota died Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Scandi Haven in Benson.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 27, at Bethel Baptist Church in Kerkhoven. Interment will be at Frank Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.  
Sharon was born February 20, 1939, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Reynold and Juliette (Gronseth) Carlson.  She grew up on the family farm north of Kerkhoven, was baptized and confirmed at Frank Lake Covenant Church; and graduated from Kerkhoven High School in 1957.
Oct. 1, 1960, she married Archie Bowman and they lived and farmed in rural Murdock.  After Archie’s death in 2006, Sharon moved into Kerkhoven.  She most recently resided at Scandi Haven Senior Living in Benson.
Sharon worked as a cook at her daughter's cafe, Sherrie’s Café in Kerkhoven for 29 years, retiring in 2014.  She was a member of Frank Lake Covenant Church until its closing and then attended Bethel Baptist Church in Kerkhoven.  She was active in Ladies Aid and as a Sunday School teacher at church and was active in the community in Homemakers Club and as a 4-H leader.
She was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning, cooking and baking.  When her children were young, she enjoyed trips to the lake with the family, 4th of July picnics in Spicer, and attending the Swift County Fair.  She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Marlyce (and Keith) Van Heuveln of Kerkhoven, Sherrie McCoy (and David Johnson) of Kerkhoven, Kevin (and Kim) Bowman of Kerkhoven, Jon (and Jeanine) Bowman of Sunburg, and Stacie Feldman of Murdock; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Archie; her brother: Richard Carlson; and her son-in-law: Jim Feldman.
