SCBHS to pursue full affiliation with CentraCare

Swift County-Benson Health Services will pursue full affiliation with CentraCare Health of St. Cloud. 
The announcement was made during a joint meeting of the SCBHS governing board, the Swift County Board of Commissioners, and the Benson City Council last Thursday evening in the Northside Elementary lunchroom.
As the two members of the SCBHS hospital district, the city and county have to approve the affiliation agreement before proceeding. 
With SCBHS’s current three-year management agreement with CentraCare ending in December, representatives of SCBHS and CentraCare have been meeting regularly on what follows the end of the agreement. Would it continue with a new management agreement or move toward full affiliation?
