Ruby Schulz, 92, of Holloway, Minnesota passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, in the Appleton Area Health-Care Center. A Celebration of Ruby’s life was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the Holloway Community Center. A private, family interment will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Moyer Township.  
Ruby Arlene Reich was born March 20, 1932, to William and Amanda (Boese) Reich at the Benson Hospital. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Church. Ruby attended Country School through eighth grade.
January 3, 1950, Ruby married Merlin Schluz at her sister’s house. Together they raised their children: Linda, Gary, Larry, Patty, David, and Bonnie.
Ruby worked at Fingerhut in Benson, Bruno’s Café in Appleton, and the Appleton Hospital, where she did the laundry for 26 ½ years.
Ruby enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, sewing, making bridesmaid dresses for her girls, making a flower girl dress for her granddaughter, woodworking, gardening, and growing beautiful flowers. She made the best pies and always had raspberry jam ready for everyone at Christmas. Ruby and Merlin did a lot of camping and fishing together. Ruby also enjoyed visiting with family, especially her children and grandchildren.  
Ruby is survived by her children: Linda (Jim) Molden of Benson, Gary (Janice) Schulz of Holloway, Larry (Debra) Schulz of Holloway, Patty Barber of Willmar, David Schulz of Holloway, and Bonnie (Doug) Wall of New London; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven  great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Ruby in death were her husband Merlin Emil Schulz, parents William and Amanda Reich, parents-in-law Emil and Beata Schulz, sister Herlanda (Christ) Koosmann, brother Lyland Reich, daughter Connie Schulz, infant daughter, infant grandson, granddaughter Brittany Schulz, son-in-law Steve Barber, and nephew Virgil Koosmann.
