With 8.52 inches of rains so far this month, May 2022 was the wettest on record.
The April to May period was the wettest on record with 12.53 inches of precipitation by early Tuesday morning, the last day of the month.
The first five months of 2022 were the second wettest five starting months of a year on record, just 2 tenths short of tying the all-time record of 15.75 inches set in 2019. Tuesday morning it was still raining; not much, but the month’s totals will increase.
