Peter Paul Hagen, 76, of Willmar, Minnesota, died Sunday, September 10, 2023 at CentraCare Rice Hospital in Willmar.

His memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 16 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Visitation is from 5-7:00 p.m., Friday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue one hour prior to his service. Burial will be at Clover Leaf Cemetery in Willmar. www.hafh.org

Peter Paul Hagen was born June 10, 1947, in Benson, Minnesota, son of Albert and Myrtle Helen (Ellingson) Hagen. He was baptized November 19, 1947 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Benson. He was confirmed into the Christian faith  June 3, 1962, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Peter attended Benson Public School. After leaving school, he worked with his brother, Albert Jr. “Sonny” Hagen at Industrial Sandblasting, Willmar, then also working for the State of Minnesota, Military Affairs in Willmar for some 24 years prior to retiring. Following retirement, he worked for Molden Construction, Benson; to fully retiring in 2012.

Peter was united in marriage to Paulette ReNay Reinke at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson. This marriage was blessed with two children.

Peter immensely loved his grandchildren and would drive them around in his red truck; loving to watch them play their many sports. He loved having weekend coffee with his male bonding friends and was always out and about visiting and/or helping people in need. He was a person who always put others first and a very giving man. Peter was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar, Minnesota; where he served as an Usher.

Peter was called from this life Sunday, September 10, he attained the age of 76 years, three months and one day. He is survived by his wife, Paulette; children: Jamie Hagen (Mary) of Sunburg and Sarah Olson (Wayde) of Kandiyohi; grandchildren: Cole, Alex, Jordan, Payton, Katie and Eli; siblings: Marlo Hagen of Boise, ID, Jerry (Pat) Hagen of Benson, Lillian (Valgene) Molden of Benson, Connie (Paul) Flaten of Swift Falls, Teresa (Paul) Johnson of Marana, AZ, Sally (Vern) Bierbaum of Wilmar, Ronald (Pat) Hagen of Willmar, Lonnie (Sharon) Hagen of Benson, and Julie (Paul) Anderson of New London; his sidekick, Scottie; and special friend, Elaine Flannigan.

He was preceded his death by his parents, Albert and Myrtle Hagen; his brothers, Albert Jr. "Sonny", Tom Hagen and his sisters, Barbara Quinn and Alvina Amundson.
