J. Marie Stehn, 97, of Benson, died Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Bethesda Pleasant View in Willmar.  
A memorial service was held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson where a visitation was held one hour prior to the service.  
Burial was in the Benson City Cemetery.  
Judell Marie Stehn was born  March 28, 1917 in Mandt Township of Chippewa County the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Townswick) Thompson. She was baptized at Mandt Lutheran Church by Pastor J.M. Mason and confirmed  October 12, 1930 by Pastor C.T. Jenson.  
Marie graduated from Benson High School in the class of 1934.  
July 17, 1935, Marie was united in marriage to Irvin Stehn.  To this union one son was born. They farmed in Westbank Township until retiring and moving into Benson in 1982.  She was an active member of Westbank Lutheran Church and Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church.  She also served as a 4-H leader, volunteered for Meals on Wheels and garden club.  She enjoyed playing cards, especially whist, gardening, time outside and visiting with family and friends.
Marie died Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Bethesda Pleasant View in Willmar at the age of 97.  
She is survived by her son, Roger (and Alice) of Spicer, three grandchildren Julie (John) Muffley of Houston, TX, Andrea (Brent) Massee of Plainview, and Gregory (Ann) Stehn of Spicer; six great-grandchildren; Bretney, Roger, Rachel, Andrew, Hannah and Shelby; two great-great-grandchildren, Norah and Alyvia, and nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin in 1993; two brothers and two sisters.
