NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:
There will be a meeting of the Swift County Planning Commission on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Room of the Swift County Courthouse, 301 14th St. No., Benson, MN to consider the following:
IN THE MATTER OF:  Earl B. Olson Farms, Inc., To: Jennie-O Turkey Store, Inc., Olson South, P.O. Box 778, Willmar, MN  56201 (Owner)
REQUEST:  Conditional Use Permit for the following:  This existing site is permitted for four total confinement barns housing 35,200 turkeys (176 A.U.’s) in the brood barns and 45,200 turkeys (812 A.U.’s) for a total of 80,400 turkeys (990 A.U.’s).  We are proposing to house 55,000 turkeys (990 A.U.’s) in five barns.  One existing 72’x 400’ barn will be converted from a brooder to grower, and two existing barns.  One existing 72’ x 400’ barn will be converted from a brooder to grower and two existing 56’x 360’ grower barns will be phased out over time.  One existing 64’x 640’ will be repaired due to minor damage suffered from the storm.  One existing 64’x 640’ barn will have no changes.  
LOCATION: The S ½ of the SW ¼ and the W ½ of the SE ¼ of Section 09, T-122, R-38 (Camp Lake Township) in Swift County, MN.
