NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:
There will be a meeting of the Swift County Planning Commission on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Room of the Swift County Courthouse, 301 14th St. No., Benson, MN to consider the following:
IN THE MATTER OF:  Earl B. Olson Farms, Inc.,  To: Jennie-O Turkey Store, Inc., Camp Lake, P.O. Box 778,  Willmar, MN  56201 (Owner)
REQUEST:  Conditional Use Permit for the following:  This existing site is permitted for four total confinement grower barns housing 43,500 turkeys (784 A.U.’s) and one total confinement brood barn housing 33,400 turkeys (167 A.U.’s).  Total current animal units are 950.  We are proposing to house 118,400 turkeys (748 A.U.’s) in five barns.  All birds would be less than 5 pounds.  Two existing 56’x 360’ barns will be demolished, and two new 64’x 512’ brooder barns will be constructed, to replace the ones that were a total loss in the storm.  One building remains 72’x 416’ this will need roof repair done and a concrete floor installed.  
LOCATION: The SE ¼ of Section 02, T-122, R-38 (Camp Lake Township) in Swift County, MN and the N ½ of the NE ¼ of Section 11, T-122, R-38 (Camp Lake Township) in Swift County, MN.
