NOTICE OF APPLICATION
FOR LIVESTOCK FEEDLOT PERMIT
Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Jennie-O Turkey Store, Inc. has made application to Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for a permit to modify a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The feedlot is located in the Southeast ¼ of section 3, Township 122N, Range 38W Camp Lake Township, Swift County, Minnesota.  
This existing site is permitted for housing 24,300 turkeys less then 5 pounds(122 animal units) in the brooder barn and 35,400 turkeys, greater then 5 pounds (637 animal units) in three total confinement grower barns for a total of 759 animal units. The new Permit Application is submitted for housing 52,140 turkeys less then 5 pounds (261 animal units) in two brood barns and 38,500 turkeys over 5 pounds (693 animal units). One existing grower barns will be converted to brood barn. Two grower barns that were destroyed in the storm will be rebuilt. The site will be raising hens instead of toms. Used litter may be temporarily stored, for less then 10 days outside the barn prior to being moved to another grower facility or to Fibrominn.  Total animal units at the facility will be 954.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5000 feet of the perimeter of the feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
