Benson to host 4-team scrimmage

Benson is set to host a four-team scrimmage at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 25 on Brock Field.  Also set to take part are KMS, Lac qui Parle Valley, and Ortonville.  The scrimmage is for varsity and 9th-10th grade teams.
Scott Gonnerman, back for his 18th year as head coach of the Braves this fall, will be assisted this fall by Roger Lindahl (defensive coordinator), Jason Wolter (offensive coordinator), Jonas Grossman (9th-10th), Mark Grussing (9th-10th), Adam Jensen (7th-8th), Tom Foley (7th-8th), and Adam Nokleby (volunteer coach).
The Benson football team is set to open up the 2018 season at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31 at home against the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints.  It will also be Father-Son Night for the Braves.
The Benson football team has 42 players listed on its varsity roster for grades 9-12.  That number includes eight seniors, seven juniors, 14 sophomores, and 13 freshmen....
