Lead Summary

LYNN MARIE REICH
July 9, 1976 - August 9, 2018

Lynn Marie Reich, 42, of Benson, Minnesota passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family August 9, 2018, at home under Hospice Care.
Visitation was from 4-7 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 3:30 p.m., Friday, August 17, 2018, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson.
Lynn Marie Reich was born July 9, 1976, to parents Greg Kehoe and Barb Athey at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota.  She was baptized at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville and confirmed at Church of St. Mary in Willmar.  After spending her first two years in Grand Forks, Lynn grew up on the Kehoe family farm in Graceville, Minnesota.  Her childhood years fostered a great love of animals which remained with her for the rest of her life.  Lynn spent many hours in the barn with the donkeys, horses and other farm animals.  She shared a special bond with her sister Stacey, with whom she shared a birthday.  Lynn spent lots of time with her cousins swimming, camping and riding horse. While attending Ridgewater College in Willmar, one of her highlights was her role in a play held there titled “Daddy’s Dyin’ … Who’s Got The Will?”.  Lynn really enjoyed acting in that play.  Through the years after college, Lynn worked at Runnings, Home Health Care, Family Dollar, Daycare, Fibrominn, Benson School District, and CNH of Benson.  She was very versatile and enjoyed learning new positions.
Lynn met Jeremey Reich and they were married December 31, 1999, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson by Fr. Steve Verhelst.  They moved to a hobby farm just outside of Benson.  Together they raised three beautiful children, Cody (14 years old), Dusty (12 years old) and Sadie (11 years old).  Lynn and Jeremy liked to garden and make homemade salsa, which everyone always loved being gifted with.  Last year they put up over 200 quarts.   Lynn loved her family, her farm, and her animals with her whole heart.  Her concern after being diagnosed with AML was that she would be leaving her family behind.  But instead, I am sure that she went ahead of them to prepare everything for them.  The Heavens lit up over Benson last Wednesday night and the angels called Lynn home Thursday morning.  Heaven has gained an angel who was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt here on earth.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Jeremy Reich; children: Cody Ray Reich, Dusty Mel Reich, and Sadie Sue Reich; father, Gregory (Dorene) Kehoe of Graceville; mother, Barbara Athey of Clinton; sister, Stacey Kehoe Beyer of Johnson; father and mother-in-law, Linden (Susan) Reich of Benson; grandparent-in-law, Joyce Reich of Willmar; brothers-in-law, Jacob (Lori) Reich, Jonathan (Sara) Reich and Joshua Reich; and seven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ed and Joan Kehoe; maternal grandparents, Elis and Helen Schedin; brother-in-law, Boyd Beyer; stepfather, Leroy Athey; and grandparents-in-law, Raymond and Josephine Ebnet and Melvin Reich.  Blessed be the memory of Lynn Marie Reich.
