Rose Anne Wogan, age 78, of Benson, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at Rice Memorial Hospital.  Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson.  Visitation will continue 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church.  Interment will be held at a later date in the Benson City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. 
Rose Anne Wogan was born on June 25, 1939, in Osakis, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank Thomas and Thelma Adline (Lund) McArdell. She grew up and attended school in Osakis, graduating from Osakis High School.
On May 28, 1960, Rose was united in marriage to Joseph Ray Wogan at the Osakis Lutheran Church. Together they were able to share in over 57 years of marriage. This union was blessed with four sons and four grandchildren. Rose worked at Sandy’s Café, the Benson Café, and as an aide at the Meadow Lane Nursing Home for several years.  She enjoyed quilting, needle point, and embroidery.
Rose was called from this life on Monday morning, March 5, at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. She attained the age of 78 years, 8 months, and 8 days.  She is survived by her husband, Joseph Wogan of Benson; her children: Roger Wogan (Annabella Lausa), Lee Wogan, James (Melissa) Wogan, and William Wogan (Lauren Arends); four grandchildren: Tasha, Camryn, Shelby, and Vaughan; siblings: Ruth (Richard) Thompson, Ida (Richard) Breiktreutz, Tom (Ed) McArdell, and Ella (Mike) Gilbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Thelma; her siblings: Frank “Fred” McArdell, Helen Jensen, Sarah McArdell, and John McArdell; nephews, Herbert Jensen, Gerald Thompson, and Michael Schmidt; and niece, Janet Boland.
