James W. Murray, age 90, of Benson, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at Swift County Benson Health Services.  Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson.  Visitation will continue 10 – 11 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church.  Interment will be in the Benson City Cemetery. 
James Willard Murray was born October 25, 1927, in Madison, Minnesota, the son of Ruthvan and Lora (Strei) Murray.  Jim grew up and graduated from high school in Bellingham.  Jim served his country during World War II in the United States Army.  He was a salesman for Gogins Tire & Service Station.  On May 22, 1953, Jim was united in marriage with Lois Helen Kunde Murray by Rev. E. Willie at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Bellingham.  This union was blessed with more than sixty years of marriage, one child, and two grandchildren.  Jim and Lois moved to Benson and he worked at Lorenz and then Haugen and Johnson as Parts Manager.  He also worked for Goff Farms.  Jim was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed hockey, fishing, Twins Baseball, and Vikings Football.
Jim was called from this life on Monday, March 5, 2018, at Swift County Benson Health Services.  He attained the age of 90 years, 4 months, and 8 days of age.  He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Teri Murray of Benson; granddaughters, LeAnna Coetzee and Alexandra Baker-Murray; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois on September 9, 2013; his parents; and siblings: Donald Murray, Inez Flager, Ione Mortenson, Kenneth Murray, Geneva Hayes, Rudy Murray, Mildred Loftus, Loren Murray, and Lorraine Stilt.
