Diane Lee Dokkebakken, 76, a resident of Fergus Falls, Minnesota died Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018, with a 6:30 p.m. public prayer service at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls with Rev. Tom Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Our Redeemer’s Cemetery, Benson.
Diane was born  June 9, 1941, in Big Bend, Minnesota, to Raymond M. and Winnifred I. (Norby) Amundson.  Diane was confirmed June 10, 1956 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.  Diane attended school in Montevideo, Alexandria, and Benson where she graduated from high school in 1959.  After high school, she attended St. Cloud Beauty College and graduated in 1960.  Diane then returned to Benson and worked for her grandmother, and another salon, as a beautician.  She then opened her own salon, Diane’s Swirl and Curl, at the Radio Arcade in Benson until 1986.
January 4, 1964, Diane married Welton “Winty” Dokkebakken at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.  This marriage was blessed with four children.
In 1986, Diane and Winty moved to Fergus Falls where she worked at Fashion Bug, Blimpy’s and Burger King until her retirement in 2006.
Diane enjoyed cosmetology conventions, as well as other work activities and education.  She was involved with the Lady Jaycee’s and PTA while in Benson, along with other community functions.  Diane also enjoyed watching the NDSU Bison and MN Vikings football, Twins baseball, computer games, and TV game shows.  She also loved walking the mall and Walmart, and visiting with people in the community.  Diane’s pride and joy were her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed attending their many school and sports activities.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Ray and Winni; son, baby boy Dokkebakken; daughter, Jana Lee Dokkebakken; father and mother-in-law, Vernon and Ellen (Thone) Dokkebakken.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Winty Dokkebakken of Fergus Falls; children, Corey (Kathy) Dokkebakken of Kerkhoven, Jamie Dokkebakken of Barnesville; grandchildren, Cody Dokkebakken, Jared (Stephanie Johnson) Dokkebakken, Jordan Dokkebakken, Tyler Dokkebakken, Brady (Mackenzie Jensen) Dokkebakken, Nathan Dokkebakken; siblings, Joanne (Don) Munsterman of Morris, Marcie (Butch) Steinhouse of Bloomington; and many other family members.
